Helixor ® Mistletoe Therapy is Based on Over 40 Years of Mistletoe Research And Therapeutic Use
Mistletoe increases macrophage activation, TNF-a, IL-1, IL-8 and eosinophilia. It increases your immune response, increases phagocytosis activity of granulocytes. It increases T-Helper cells and your natural killer cells. It is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antinociceptive as well. Mistletoe provides stress protection as well as immunoprotection.
Mistletoe therapy causes immunomodulation by causing a local reaction at the injection site, which triggers B cells to activate from the lectin antibodies. T- cells, GM-CSF, IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-a, granulocytes, NK cells, monocytes and macrophages and IFN-y to activate. This creates tumor cell cytotoxicity, Neuroendocrine effects and DNA stabilization.
Basically, you get a local inflammatory reaction at the injection site, your body has a temperature reaction, which improves internal warming. You then have an increase in leukocytes (Neutrophils, eosinophils and lymphocytes), you have an acute peritumoral or around the tumor inflammatory reaction, where the reaction encases the tumor and destroys cancer cells.
Mistletoe therapy is used for:
- All malignant tumors, and also with concomitant disorders of the hematopoietic system.
- Relapse prevention both before and after surgery
- Defined precancerous conditions such as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, chronic Hep B and C, Ulcerative colitis and intestinal polyps.
- Benign tumors such as uterine myomas, endometriosis, and brain tumors.
